Paul joins Maven after a year in Australia, mostly consulting to progress a $100m+ train upgrade programme that was considerably behind schedule. Previously he was an independent consultant in the UK for many years working mostly in financial services and the public sector on strategy and operations projects across issues including outsourcing, effectiveness/efficiency, stakeholder management and programme management.
His prior experience, after beginning his career in Westminster as a policy civil servant, was largely with a range of established consulting firms in Europe, South-East Asia and Australia, including roles as GM Strategy for PA Consulting Asia Pacific and as founding head of the Price Waterhouse consulting practice in Poland.
His skills include strategy analysis and development, marketing strategy, business transformation, business planning, programme/project management. In addition to consultancy projects Paul has also held line management P&L accountable roles in manufacturing, outsourcing and consulting.
Paul's first degree is in mathematics, from the London School of Economics, and he holds a MBA from Cranfield in the UK, which included a semester at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Previously geographically agnostic, Paul is committed to making New Zealand his long-term home.
