Jeff joins Maven having been contracting to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise and Sport NZ to develop programmes to leverage major sports events. Prior to this he worked for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, where he managed all of their business leveraging activity around major sports events both in New Zealand and offshore, including negotiating the first supplier agreement between NZTE and New Zealand Rugby (the All Blacks).
Using sports events as a platform to promote and showcase New Zealand businesses and provide opportunities for businesses to host clients at exclusive events and experiences, has been a key focus for NZTE since Rugby World Cup 2011. Jeff has managed, or been involved in, programmes for the Rugby World Cup 2011, NZPGA Pro-Am, the 34th America's Cup, Cricket Word Cup 2015, FIFA U-20 Football World Cup 2015, NZ Golf Open, Rugby World Cup 2015 and the Rio Summer Olympics.
His skills include strategy development, programme business cases, building and maintaining relationships, programme development and management, communications and marketing, negotiation and policy development.
Jeff studied at Massey University and has a Master of Science in Geography and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Science.
