Sam is an experienced communications and public relations practitioner, specialising in public sector and digital communications.
In more than nine years as a communicator he has led communications and stakeholder engagement strategy, workshop facilitation and the development of digital communications strategy for multiple clients. He has worked with the country's top social marketing behaviour change professionals and researchers on major public sector programmes.
Sam has been employed in the public sector, at the Department of Building and Housing, and as a senior consultant at communications and PR agency SenateSHJ.
Sam is an adept writer, editor and strategic thinker who values long lasting working relationships with his clients. He has broad experience managing issues and the media under high pressure, and in 2013 and 2015 worked on high-profile crisis management responses in the public sector.
Sam brings a strong understanding of digital media, online community management, content curation, social media strategy, problem definition and risk analysis to Maven, where he will continue to help public and private sector clients engage more meaningfully with their stakeholders in a digital environment.
