Prior achievements

Establishing and leading the business development area at New Zealand Rugby (NZR) between 2012-2020 with the purpose of developing a step change in the organisation’s commercial revenue generation.

  • Co-leading the creation of the 2016-2020 Commercial & Brand Strategy to grow revenue by a further $25 million above existing forecasts.

  • Heading the innovation, business case development and implementation of new revenue streams.

  • Leading the creation, research, and financial modelling of more than twenty-five new revenue streams to support the approach to private equity firms for investment. This contributed to an independent valuation of $3.1billion for NZR’s commercial arm and attracted interest from Silver Lake who have offered $465 million for a 15% share.

Qualifications and accreditation

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree - Majoring in Economics with a specialisation in International Trade and Finance from Massey University.

He is also a qualified Better Business Case Practitioner and is an accredited Prince2 Project Manager.
