Maven was engaged by a public sector agency to explore a range of plausible future scenarios to be used as a basis for the development of a desired future state that describes how the infrastructure, assets, and property portfolio could be managed to maximise value and adapt to future challenges.
Maven prepared a report designed to be provocative and encourage people to think differently about what a future state of infrastructure in New Zealand could look like.
The scope of the exercise included:
- The exploration of plausible future scenarios for the sector and the implications these may have on infrastructure, assets and the way property portfolios are managed.
- The comparison of the approaches and outcomes of each scenario and identification of insights to be used as a basis to build a desired future state.
- The development of a desired future state that described how infrastructure, assets and property portfolios could be managed to provide the best possible value and adaptability to new challenges that may arise in the future.
